Lakeside Amusement Park

A digital restoration of a photograph showing the crowded boardwalk at the famous Lakeside Amusement Park near Salem, Virginia. The photograph was originally taken by George C. Davis around 1920. In the photograph, you can see the large pool, the "Thriller" roller coaster and bumper car pavilion. The photograph is believed to most likely been taken on a Sunday given everyone is dressed in their "Sunday Best".
